Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

For anyone that is interested there is a club called Paris FC founded in 1969 they formed with a club called Stade Saint-Germain to form PSG in 1970. They then split from PSG in 1972 and basically fell off into obscurity in the lower leagues of France for many many many decades. In 2025 they got promoted to the French first division for the first time in 46 years. Since 2024 they have been owned by the Arnault Family. Bernard Arnault has a net worth of around 150 billion. Red Bull also have a minority ownership of the club.

On 12th February 2025 they reached an agreement with Rugby Union club Stade Francais to move into their stadium next season.

Where is their stadium? I hear you say

Well it’s literally next door to PSG’s stadium. It takes about 30 seconds to get from PSG’s stadium to Paris FC’s stadium.

I’m looking forward to the Paris derby next season

With the Arnault family they 'should' be looking at luxury branding.

If they can do that then they'll be able to compete at the top of ligue 1 before long.

Arnault is the CEO of LVMH, which is an umbrella company for all kinds of big name luxury brands. Hennessy, Moet & Chandon, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Bulgari, Tiffany, Tag Heuer, and on and on.

Really seems like he should be the chairman of PSG and Paris FC should be the PIF sports washing club, doesn’t it.

Yes, it will be good to watch Gueye doing his thing in the middle of the pitch again.
He will be sorely missed at Everton.
