I think he affected the way we played (negatively)… too much launching the ball into him (yes Dyche was the main culprit).

Playing the ball into behind on the deck to Beto or wide to get the ball in is more my kind of footy 🤷🏻‍♂️
Same really, but keeping the ball or heading it down to start attacks is/should also be a viable option. The thing is that DCL does that but doesn't do the behind/on the deck part, and Beto the opposite. That's why they're here and not the complete articles obviously, but ideally you'd want the forward to be able to do both at least to an extent.

I agree. But being what we are where we are, choosing which footy to play in order to get the most out of our less than complete striker (let’s say!) - I’m going with the footy we play with Beto, who I think is more Rom like (obviously he’s a temu rom, but hopefully you see what I’m getting at lol).

He probably won’t be happy with how his time here ended, but he will be able to look back on his career with pride.

The amount of footballers who even make it to this level at all is minuscule.
Yeah, he had great moments. That Palace goal, and the following celebration, may well be his career-defining highlight.

It's certainly what I'll remember him for.

Or, adapt your football to suit the player.

Chelsea my ass.

I get the feeling DCL will suffer the same fate as Tommy D and end up in the Championship

No chance.

Hes a good players, just not elite.

Id have said replacement for Wilson at Newcastle, but wouldn't be shocked to see something like a Como.

Not a chance he ends up in the Champ. The worst hell do is one of the promoted clubs. But still i expect Newcastle as a backup.
