Glastonbury 2025

Is this the reason you want to end free speech?
For a man crying about keeping politics out of music, he's made about 30 posts.

3 have been about music (the opening one ironically praising notable political songwriter and activist Neil Young) and the rest have been about defunding the BBC, two tier policing, Israel and Palestine and free speech.

:coffee:

"I just want the Searchers OK!"

But all he REALLY cares about is watching the Searchers set from the weekend.

Smoke and mirrors.
I see you Joey

No its hate speech hence the owners of the festival have apologised for it plus the police are looking into it & the BBC are being investigated over it - My stance is I agree with what they claimed ,but wrong place to do it OK ....

The rest of the world are not doing much about it which is more infuriating IMO ...

This so called Band just seeking publicity was disgusting IMO
Just how far do you want to go with the free speach/hate speach thing Joey? Are we not allowed to criticise governments and regimes in your world? Do you get equally outraged at drunken England fans signing the "ten German bombers" song? Is that not hate speach too since its glorifying death?

Of course the band is seeking publicity. What else would they do? The more puzzling part is people like yourself who obviously dislike them, obliging them with all this moral grandstanding. You're just giving them endless free publicity. They will be delighted with it all. The police can look into it all they want but we both know that nothing will happen. Quite rightly too.

I have to defend my post - I am disgusted with what Palestine is going through right now genocide in the food camps - its up to the world order to try to stop it not a music festival that's my point - our own government are still providing weapons as our others ?

Older generation: "these youngsters are so weak today that they need a trigger warnings for their media!"

Also the older generation: "How dare this band not tell us that some of their songs would upset me so much!"

Look who is supplying Israel with their weapons .....

Look who is supplying Israel with their weapons .....
All irrelevant Joey. People are allowed to sing what they want because we thankfully don't live in North Korea where you can be arrested for having an incorrect "opinion".
Join the army then & get over there ....
You aren't making any sense Joey. Why would I need to join the army to justify my supporting freedom of speech?
