Glastonbury 2025

If you get the chance mate try and catch Chappel Roan's headline set from Primavera Barcelona a few weeks ago. There's a high quality official video on YouTube.

Chappel is besties with Olivia (they share the same producer/Co writer) and blew up last year after she opened on the GUTs tour in the US. Reportedly the biggest Primavera crowd ever but the show was different level.

Was disappointed I missed out on PS this year. Mainly wanted to catch Chappel Roan.

I've not gotten into Olivia Rodrigo as much as Chappel or Taylor Swift but like anything I've heard.

I think there is some great pop music around and love that some of it is mixed in with the other stuff I am into at these festivals.

@tommye just on a previous post, all three of them write their own songs but many of them with a co-writer. And Swift and Rodrigo both will write most of them on acoustic guitar before taking them to the studio.

As a grunge kid who later worked 7 yrs in HMV and was definitely a music snob, I would never have believed I'd end up almost 50 with Bad Bunny and Taylor Swift showing up on my most listened at the end of the year. But here I am. Music's great

Michael Kiwanuka lined up to see in a couple weeks in this place in Murcia

Had honestly never heard of Bob Vylan before all this. No publicity is bad publicity etc.

I bet the BBC are secretly loving it. Like the time the Sex Pistols swore. It keeps them relevant.

The usual ghouls in the right wing press and other associated media are queuing up to cry faux outrage because: 1) they smell a good story; 2) it's a stick to beat the BBC and the 'left' with; and 3) it's a more legitimate reason (in terms of optics) to fume about Glastonbury and the BBC than a mass cgantbof woaaaaaah Jeremy Corbyn, which they clearly despised and held a grudge about.

Utter non-story.

The BBC decided not to televise the Searchers last ever live concert eve Paul McCartney I trophy introduced them on stage for their final concert = no footage what do we pay our TV License for the BBC run by a gang of knob heads

The times come for sackings the coverage of Glastonbury events is appalling!
Oh well nevermind. Glad you pay it though.
