New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

It's a test event they're determined to avoid taking.

God forbid anything goes wrong when the season starts because stunts like this one will come back to haunt all parties.

Just get 50,000+ fans streaming out of that stadium pretty much as one and see where the problems lie. It's what the test event is supposed to be for.
Yup, like a boxer that doesn’t allow sparring partners to punch them in the face in training camp, completely unprepared for the real thing

Pitch won’t fit, capacity too small, cracks in concrete, behind schedule, won’t all fit through the exits, lounges won’t be ready, now the steelwork needs replacing.
No way it’s getting passed by the local authorities

It will be passed by authorities, but only by adding a 2nd match to spread out the amount of people leaving. Come Brighton we'll all be stuck in the fan plaza jammed. 🤪

Their cunning plan to spread out the leaving time by adding a veterans match is just kicking the can down the road (railtrack?) re Sandhills.

I will take some straw to the Brighton game as clearly I will be used as a guinea pig at Sandhills.

So we are at the stage of just fully blaming Everton for the utter and catastrophic failures of local government when it comes to this stadium? The stadium will pass its safety tests with flying colours, because it is safe. Anything happening surrounding that is the fault of Rotherham and his cronies. I guess you really can get away with absolutely anything when you have the safest seat in the UK

The club are conniving with Rotheram over this legends game idea, IMO.

It's a disgrace that an event to stress test the safety of this stadium for performance with full fan capacity and their safe departure and journey home is being circumnavigated by such obvious tactics as a game tacked on the end of another one to thin out numbers exiting.

Is there going to be two matches every home game then, because if there isn't it's a completely cynical way to attain a safety certificate - not to mention highly dangerous.

Think the legends game is just a money spinner to get more money in via the F&B outlets tbh.
There’s no doubt it helps the dispersal too but I think they want to try to change the match going experience and get more people to stay behind after the final whistle to exploit the bars during the season and this just encourages the change of habit.
