For those thinking DCL on a free, will struggle to get a contract worth in the region of £120k per week, here what a few of his peers are costing their clubs according to the usual sources:
Solanke (27) - £90k/w 6 year contract £55m fee = £349k per week.
Danny Ings (32) - £125k/w 2.5 year contract £12m fee = £217k per week.
Chris Wood (33) £80k/w 2y contract (after loan) £12m fee = £195k per week.
Beto (27) - £53k/w 4y contract £25m fee = £177k per week.
Can’t even be bothered doing it for the like of Hojlund (4 goals-£72m) , Zirkzee (3 goals-£34m), Nunez 6 goals-£65m)

Personally I don’t think he will struggle, but I’m sure the wage rumours will start leaking soon enough.
You seem to be confusing whether teams can afford 150k a week with whether teams will pay 150k a week. Bosmans get high wages when they're in demand starters, not when they're unwanted backups.

He will be getting offers a lot lower than the offers tabled by ourselves and Newcastle last summer. A fact proven by our withdrawal of that offer and Newcastles lack of interest.

Apart from in the "news of former players" thread.

And thinking back to the last day at the Old Lady. Would've been nice with some ex- players there to see her off, but once you leave Everton you're of no interest to us fans -so off you trot !
Exactly, could we have had such a great day without former players?
How can you just completely blank & forget a player, they are part of our club & our history.
Some heartless creatures on here.

Not that it’s a particularly great benchmark, but in 2022 we committed £146k per week to Neil Maupey (£15m fee and 50k for 3 years)

Obviously with loaning him out and ultimately flogging him, he didn’t end up costing that much, but the same principle applies to DCL and any other player a team picks up on a bosman.
Once they have the players registration they have a saleable asset.

If DCL stays fit and scores 5+ goals (big if I know) he’s will be worth over £10m imo (not just for the goals but his role at a target man)

Maupay has never really had any injury issues. Was 3 years younger and even though his record weren't great, he'd still outperformed Dom's last 4 seasons in his time at Brighton. 26 goals in 3 seasons vs 17 in 4 for Dom.

I do see what you're saying, but with his fitness issues, his lack of goals, and his age, I'd be absolutely amazed if anybody was prepared to invest that sort of money in him. I mean it's up for debate if even we wanted to invest that sort of money in him.

We'll see though mate, I just don't think he's gonna have a leg to stand on asking for that sort of money. I could be wrong.

He got booed when he fractured his cheekbone against Villa at Goodison in August 23. His dad posted that he was disgusted at the abuse hurled at his son as he left the pitch. You only have to read comments on this site to realise it's waaay more than a few loons.
It was at Villa Park & a minority I think & his dad had a right to be disgusted.
To be fair though at Goodison he has never been booed & treated well by us & even last season was clapped off when he was subbed.
I think most match going fans have treated him well, its social media that bugs me at times.
I thank him & wish him the best of luck.
