The vast majority of comments i read are about his ability or lack of on the pitch. Like most things the abuse is latched onto and highlighted more. I think you're wrong about large section of the fanbase. And most certainly not match going fans. Has he ever been boo'd at Goodison Park?
Dont mistake a few loons and faceless idiots online as a large section of this fanbase.
He got booed when he fractured his cheekbone against Villa at Goodison in August 23. His dad posted that he was disgusted at the abuse hurled at his son as he left the pitch. You only have to read comments on this site to realise it's waaay more than a few loons.

A player who looked like he was going to perform better than he actually did, injuries haven't helped which will probably put off clubs potentially signing him.

I was waiting for the villa park game. Completely out of context with what this is. That was a one off at a game that fans never realised what had just gone on. He hasnt got abuse anywhere else. You're going on like a large section of this fanbase boo him when his name was read out at Goodison.
Every Everton fan i know has no issue with him other than they think he is isnt a good forward.

Feels like we've finally completed the clear out to be honest. A load of overpaid dross gone in one swell foop.

Well hello there…

For those thinking DCL on a free, will struggle to get a contract worth in the region of £120k per week, here what a few of his peers are costing their clubs according to the usual sources:
Solanke (27) - £90k/w 6 year contract £55m fee = £349k per week.
Danny Ings (32) - £125k/w 2.5 year contract £12m fee = £217k per week.
Chris Wood (33) £80k/w 2y contract (after loan) £12m fee = £195k per week.
Beto (27) - £53k/w 4y contract £25m fee = £177k per week.
Can’t even be bothered doing it for the like of Hojlund (4 goals-£72m) , Zirkzee (3 goals-£34m), Nunez 6 goals-£65m)

Personally I don’t think he will struggle, but I’m sure the wage rumours will start leaking soon enough.

We get it mate. Just because a club isn’t paying a fee doesn’t mean they are going to throw £150k a week at this bloke though.
He’ll likely be a number 2 striker at a Fulham or West Ham - and you don’t get £150k a week for that.

.
He’s been able to sign a pre contract deal with any club for 6 months and nothing has happened

He even sacked his agent because no one was interested in him
With respect, you, me and everyone else on this forum have no idea what’s going on in the background with his next contract, that’s simply your opinion (which you are entitled to)
And as for binning his agent, more and more players are doing without them and using a sport lawyer to cross the t’s and dot the i’s while saving themselves in the region of 15% of the contract sum in the process.
