Glastonbury 2025

Despite the largely self-inflicted nonsense that's followed him around over the years, Pete Doherty is a really top class songwriter.

And Carl Barat tbf.

Yeah, always been a fan of Libertines and Pete Doherty.

I always remember seeing him in the Zanzibar after Carl kicked him out of the Libertines. He was meant to be on at 9pm but he couldn't stand up without support. He ended up playing about Midnight and was quality.

It was a hell of a second wind from him. Saw the Libertines last November and Pete was always by the side of the stage bigging up the support acts.

Why isn't Reform supporter Rod Stewart shoved onto iplayer?

GTF BBC.
David, this is an organisation that when, last week, pondering possible regime change that might benefit Iranian society sent Laura Kuenssberg to interview...Reza Pahlavi, the son of the despotic human rights-abusing puppet Shah whose brutality paved the way for the Ayatollahs.

I mean, you couldn't make it up...

Oh it's "Wolf Alice" ffs

I always thought it was Wool Phallus

Gary Numan absolutely class. Saw him at Sonisphere in 2014 and 11 years later he’s still got it. One of the highlights of the weekend.
He was my first pop love...when I was 7. Are "friends" electric?, Cars, We are glass...

He was my gateway drug to synthpop.

Being honest with you, I lost all interest in him when he went rock. His Thatcherite political posturings in the mid-80s didn't endear either. But for 18 months at the start of the 80s - and that cracking little collab with the lad from Shakatak in 85 - he was glorious.
