In a way he’s been one of many symptoms of what the club has been/is and at a guess, I’d say that’s where some of the problems with the fans stems from, frustration etc.

Seems a decent lad from the interview clips I have seen and good luck to him. If we are to progress we need better players than him and whoever we sign needs to be a improvement on what’s been here otherwise it’s just the same old excuses/situation.

Definitely an eye opener for this Everton fan from 200 miles away reading some of the pig-ignorant bigoted comments from a large section of our 'support'. I suppose every club's fans hope that their fellow supporters are just that bit better and more gracious than those of other teams. Turns out we have just as many knuckle daggers as anyone else, and that makes me sad.
Utter nonense. It’s not a large section of our support making bigoted comments though is it. It also Seems you dont know what the word bigotry means either. Dont be so quick to make such accusations about a large section of our support mate.

Time for the club and dom to move on to separate paths, hopefully it works out for him and more importantly we end up with a boss new forward.

In order for us to move to the next level it must be said that DCL isnt good enough for us or else we will never reach new standards and remain as we did, languishing.
He is a good player and had good times but we need next level and he just is same old same old , 10 goals a season and injuries galore.

Good luck to the lad 😁 was bought for pittance, had a great season under Ancelotti, and was a back up before that ! Things changed, we'd dire managers, his injuries, fans lost faith but sadly also himself so time for everyone to move on 😁

Exactly this . I like him and gladly have him should he had another year but giving him another 4 year deal would be madness for a club trying to move to the next level.

Don't bring a knife to a gun fight mate. There are dozens of bigoted comments on here and all over social media. Just claiming there aren't doesn't change what's there in black and white

First part i agree. Second part. Could be a bit deep. My own personal view is there has been some utter nonsense written about him on here in terms of what he is as a forward. Clinging on to a spell he had around 5 years ago. Looking back even that wasnt brilliant. You're then told its everyone elses fault. The final comeback is its hate.
Lol.
Its weird in a way that such a poor return from a player warranted so much debate so i think you are correct in terms of what the club has been. Many other clubs he'd have just been moved on with no fuss. Intrigued to see what club takes a punt on him. But delighted Everton can start looking at better forwards. Wether we get one is not the point. Moving on from a guarenteed poor finisher is. Its something like 8 goals from open play in 3 years. Beto has that in 15 starts this season.
He wasnt good or hungry enough. That simple.
