Yes

It is the right thing for him, his development has stalled and he seems to have some negative feelings towards the club. It's the right thing for the club as we need a fit striker who scores goals and his lack of availability has led to relegation scraps.

When all said and done he's been at Everton since he was a teenager, third highest PL scorer for us and scored in the derby last season which will probably forever be the favourite game I've been to see live - until we win a PL or trophy at Wembley. So when all is said done it's the right time to part ways but I hope the club gives a genuine heartfelt thank you to him.

Decent at best, be good backup striker I suppose but a few of these players are part of the failures of recent years, the time for sentiment is past.

It is simple for me tbh. If we are starting a new era and trying to build a more successful team to try and get back to the top end of the table and qualify for Europe, then you need to have a striker who doesn't miss almost every opportunity, scores more than 21 goals in 4 years and doesn't miss 529 days (or 80 games) in the last 4 seasons due to injuries. We need better to do better.

120 K a week. In the past 3 years he's earned over 18 Million and scored 12 goals.. That is an horrific return for any striker 12 goals in 3 years, it's indefensible regardless of how much he cost.
There are players have had there salary & sat out of the team mostly - being bitter & twisted about a player who has served the club better than most is ridiculous imo of your cringe worthy analysis of adding wages e.g. Deli Ali wages Keens wages Coleman wages ! Plus others -
DCL will leave us so be it wish him well!

Wouldn't even mind but the poster has added on 20k a week for three years just to make his post about his wages suit his argument. Dom has been one of our best buys in years. 1.5m bought for 70 odd goals, don't see many people saying that

Let it go, he's leaving. We all hoped he's go on and be a legend for the club after the big carlo season and that palace goal, but it hasn't happened. He can't stay fit and although a great footballer he can't finish. He's done. Best of luck DCL. Thanks for the memories but you want a future elsewhere so that's what you will get. I'm sure you'll miss Everton in years to come.

I voted 'yes' in the belief that I don't think his heart - never mind his head - is with Everton any longer and he probably needs pastures new to restart his career.

A fit and firing on all cylinders DCL would be great again but I doubt we will ever witness that again in our shirt.
