Glastonbury 2025

I watched Lewis Capaldi last night , never heard of him before to be honest— the crowd were in raptures over him, I read he’d had a hard time over the last couple of years mentally so I’m sorry about that but musically I found him very boring maybe the audience found him great because they were intoxicated one way or the other, or it is because I’m from a much older generation.
My daughter told me that one of the songs he did was the 4th biggest ever on Spotify. Whatever that means.

I'm disappointed at your post.

The 'performers' dictate if their performance is broadcast. Usually they come to an accommodation.

And a public broadcaster, dependent upon Government funding, needs to be careful about what it broadcasts. The Tories have been putting pressure on the moderate press.

Do you upset your paymaster/boss?

YOU can buy or listen to whatever pornographic content you wish (or in this case music), but the BBC is unable to pander your specific needs.

Perhaps you are a Reform support. Or a Tory determined to remove all public services.
The licence fee is £15/month. Not everyone can afford £100/month (like you).

Glastonbury isn't special: I'm here/there/inside. It hasn't been so for many a year.
Interesting that you mention costs. We are just about forced to pay the licence fee and despite what some 'too kool for skool' people claim on here most families do pay it.

What percentage of families actually pay for Sky? I do but I'm not sure how many on here do. A lot of people have those firesticks or whatever they're called.

I'd be interested to know what the revenues for each are.
