Glastonbury 2025

Think it was a decent spot for them. Get the older crowd up and in the mood with an early singalong. They were a bit through the motions slick and I think the later slots should have a bit more energy and exuberance rather than 4 middle aged blokes looking like they've got half a mind on whether their kids remembered to put the bins out while Dad's at Glastonbury.
Disagree, put SG in a later slot and you'll have far more energy pulsing through that crow regardless of age profile, more than the bland headliners last night anyway!

Last nights wet wipe headliners have only agreed to do the show if they top the bill.

It's the only explanation.

To remain relevant and seem up to date, the organisers have caved.

At least it was the Friday slot, we might get so much more to help us all forget it.

If I never hear the 1975 ever again it'll be to soon. Boo Q and his associates.

Was saying to missus d just now, if Sky had this they'd have 10 channels running covering the 'kin lot. BBC are their own worst enemy.
That's why I don't get all the cryarsing about Sky. Yes you have to pay for it but when they cover an event it is blanket coverage.

I always think back to watching cricket years ago when the BBC would had one camera at a test match. Playing The Ashes in Australia. You will have to read about 24 later.

Aye, I mean I'm not saying I want Sky to have it but they'd know how to make the most of it if they did, and it'd be a damn sight more professional.
BBC have a golden goose on their hands and crap the bed every year, needs a complete rethink.

The people running the bbc are masters of letting a service go to rack and ruin, then as it needs saving one of their pals shows up, like a white knight, to save the day and line their pockets. Managed decline, asset stripping, fraud.

Channel 4's coverage back in the day was much more fun and seemed to capture the spirit of the festival better, with far less airtime. There was less emphasis on the pyramid stage and the most mainstream acts.

To clarify I said the later acts should have a bit more energy and exuberance - not that they did have more energy or exuberance.

They were a great reliable choice to open the Pyramid stage and get things off to a good start, get people up and put smiles on faces. Being the opener is not as much a buried slot as some of the later times.
