I just wish we’d redeveloped Goodison but not changed it at all so everything was exactly the same but obviously not the same because it was twice the size and with ten times the corporate offering but literally exactly the same with no changes at all to the original architecture apart from all the changes we had to make to do what I’m talking about does nobody feel like that?

Yes. In an ideal world we wouldnt have had to move. And if we had to, we would have gone to a bigger ground. We have uprooted and spent millions on basically getting 15,000 extra seats.

But on the flip side it is exciting to be part of a new generation of fans going to a new ground.

I personally think it's to maximise profits...Longer the ground is open the more dough going in the till.

We’re also lucky it’s happened when drones are relatively cheap and offer excellent video quality.

This thread was fabulous while it was being built: informative and fascinating.

Sadly now it's built, there are just a lot of people shouting at clouds wishing it was a bigger capacity. For me, it's fantastic and I can't wait to get there for every game!
