Confirmed Signing Thierno Barry

I don't have heroes mate, just acknowledging the fact that he is a lot better than Dom. By the way, that was 5 years ago when he had that one off good season with Carlo and it was 16 PL goals, the other 5 where in cup games. For perspective, Dom has scored 21 goals in total in all competitions in the 4 years since that one off season. This fella has scored 61 in that same period which includes a 19 and a 20.
Im not sure how you can so confidentiality claim he is so much better than dom please show your reasoning

He's in some good company there. It was only 11 goals but this is the exact profile we need to target. We can't sign them once they hit 15 or more because 15 goals is the new 20 for the majority of forwards these days.
Definitively a lot to like if the price is right.

My concerns (other than price):
- Hobby analytics like him because of his shot map. He stays in front of goal and shoot from good positions. Similar to DCL under Carlo. When he was asked to run the channels, he stopped scoring. We know Moyes will ask him to play very different from what he did at Villareal.
- Supposedly a good finisher with his head. In Spain. Lots of people are. Cesc Fabregas had 5 headed goals his first six months when moving to Barca from Arsenal.
- Resell value. We seem dead set to have a striker profile successful clubs does not want or need. A player with his profile will never be attractive for rich clubs.
- Davis Moyes. Seems to struggle to get strikers going. He had a similar but much better striker in Sebastian Haller while manager in West Ham. Bought for £45 million, but Moyes kept playing Antonio over him.

Hobby analytics also like him because of his running - so that first point shouldn't be too much of an issue:

"Only one player across Europe's top seven leagues — Benfica's Vangelis Pavlidis — has made more runs in behind per 30 minutes of team possession in 2024-25"

Can you please describe or name your ideal striker signing for us who you wouldn’t have any concerns about mate?

All running aren't the same. Big difference between doing runs while staying within the width of the six yard box and chasing long balls towards the corner flag in hope of winning a throw-in.

Are you American mate ?

It's mostly about profile. As in our midfield lack creativity and give away the ball too often, so we need a tall striker for Pickford to aim at.

That is a midfield problem and should be addressed as such. More money should be spent on players that are good on the ball to increase possession and control in matches.

There have been good reasons for setting up the team for having 40% possession and defend in a low block, but we should prioritize to move away from that. If you play like a team that is fighting relegation, you'll end up as a team that fights relegation. We should have learned that by now.

The style of play cost the club a lot of money. Everton players aren't attractive for better and richer clubs. And while we shouldn't aim for being a stepping stone in player careers, it would make it a lot easier to attract players to the club.
