2024/25 Seamus Coleman

Had hoped he would have retired and stayed on in some capacity at the club but not entirely happy with him signing on for the extra year, as his on over 250,000 pounds a month in salary , and Moyes statement of difficult times etc before, he was part of that team who didn't perform consistently and was the mouth piece of the Kenwright era also 🙃 so seems we take 5 steps forward but take steps back being too sentimental of older players 🙃

Look out, we’re dealing with a Top Bloo over here.

I love the fella but the plug should have been pulled years ago. Last thing he did for us was that goal against Leeds. Baines knew when it was game over and walked away.
Agree definatley think has been the postion of the club and prob been talked i to it by managers ect. I dont expect see much of him this season will be mainly coaching but still playing a part of the squad. With the turnover of the squad if reduced terms i think be a good deal to just calm the players down with his leadership and set the standard.

Paying players who can`t get fit to play is not helping us out either.

The manager see value in his presence, I doubt he's on big money so that's not an issue, and he isn't taking anyone's spot.

It's tough to see a downside here, provided that there is finally a solution to replacing him.

Everton captain Seamus Coleman has signed a new one-year contract, keeping him at the club until July 2026.

The 26-year-old right-back will enter his 17th season with the Blues and holds the club record of 369 Premier League appearances.

It is his ninth contract with Everton.

The BBC reckon he is only 26!!!!!!!
