New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I think a lot of the language on that site is quite dated. I know as well that Meis himself fielded a lot of the fan uneasiness about the capacity, so it may have been written in response to that climate.

Ultimately, we didn't build what Meis designed. We built a rationalised version of his design produced by Pattern.

This is the image that accompanies the entry on the Meis site - it's very different to what we got:

Maybe, but it does align with the actual capacity right now, sure things changed but the basic concept is still the same. It’s very similar.

Personally I think increased capacity is possible and in the future if needed we will do it. Yeah it’s a backward approach but hey this is remnants of Everton of old the Everton before the new owners came in.

Here’s a thought, enjoy our new home, if we become successful, maybe, just maybe our owners will want to expand.
In the meantime, it’s 52k and absolutely fantastic.

Stop talking sense! It’s frowned upon… repeat offenders could even get banned!
It’s best to talk utter tripe and critique every detail, some random bloke called Dave told me this.

Glad there is a legends game.

I've long said that should have been the opener at the Hill Dickinson/Closing game at Goodison.

My daughter must have passed on the message :D
