We have no idea what he earns. But we do now have professional, competent people in place at all levels of the club and the judgement is that the value he provides the club, in whatever form that takes, justify the wage he's been given.
I'd be surprised if its even £20kpw at this point, hes taken reduced terms more than once in the last few years I think. Like you pointed out, he was never a massively high earner even at his peak.I agree with you except we don’t know what kind of wage he’s on. I’m sure I read he was making an ironic and well deserved £60kpw at the height of his playing career…
If he’s been given a year at a third of that to maybe play the odd cup game and transition over to coach at the same time then I’m for it
Ashley Young offered FAR more than Seamus has for a few years. No problem keeping him on coaching for his influence in the changing roomsShould be beyond the 'least he deserves'/sentimental stuff. Can we trade pashun for an actual functioning right back?
He could still deliver pashun in a coaching role so I don't understand this.
I would normally agree mate but with Seamus, the impact he has on the rest of the team is worth the 1 year extension even if he doesn't play very often.Should be beyond the 'least he deserves'/sentimental stuff. Can we trade pashun for an actual functioning right back?

Dunc won a cup tbfWould anyone agree with me that Seamus is the greatest Everton legend never to have won owt with us (yet)?
The only rivals in my opinion and in my Everton supporting life would be Mike Lyons, Big Bob and Dunc.
No . I'd put Baines and Jagielka ahead of him.I would normally agree mate but with Seamus, the impact he has on the rest of the team is worth the 1 year extension even if he doesn't play very often.
Last time I checked Jags isn't part of the club and Baines retired long ago??No . I'd put Baines and Jagielka ahead of him.
A lot of money for nostalgia.
