Castore - get rid?

D. H. Gate . Com.

I will never, ever pay that much for a football shirt for my kids. Absolutely not a chance.

As for how it looks... its got blue in it. šŸ‘

It’s one of those head-scratching days for me.
Imagine your a sportswear manufacturer and you’ve got a supply contract with a football club with two significant milestones back-to-back - last season at their historic home, and first season in a new stadium. You’d be looking to smash it out the park, wouldn’t you?
Or are you the person at the club who signs off on this?
Hell, even Port Vale managed to get an immaculate kit this season!

Impossible to have a nice kit when you've got a sponsor that uses a comic sans font..

I just don't think you can smash it out of the park to be honest. There's maybe one kit every 10 years in the entire world of football that I see and think wow they've nailed that but I'd imagine that at the exact same time as i'm thinking that someone else somewhere is sat there thinking christ that's awful about the exact same thing. The constant 'I don't like it so it must be objectively terrible' shouts are a bit embarrassing.

And there you go, being exploited, financially, has been normalised.
No it hasn't, there has always been periods of high inflation, where people complain about the prices of things, then it takes a few years after that for salary to catch up, this time it seems a bit more greed based, there's service providers in Ireland saying now that there will be yearly increases of inflation +2%.. this means that it will always represent bad value. It's certainly not normalised, it's something there will be a pushback against sooner rather than later.

Port Vale's kit is very nice but it is a simple Puma template that loads of teams have.

Honestly I couldn't care less about it being a template as long as it looks nice and is decent quality. These Castore kits tick neither of those boxes, they're awful.
Surely the point is more that it isn't actually the design of the kit that is making you think it looks nice, it's everything that goes with it. The Port Vale one - with no sponsor, old style badge, muted colour pallet etc - looks nice. The Marseille one with bright colours and and a big sponsors looks crap, but it's literally the exact same kit design.
