Think we all should reserve our judgement on TFG.

Other than rearrange the debt they haven’t done anything of note yet.

Their first barometer is this window…. And it’s fair to say it’s pretty pathetic thus far but that can all change.
It's literally 25 June....

So far we've sorted contracts out for Alcaraz and Gueye (reported) and looks like we're gonna be bringing Tete in fairly early (also reported). Sorted out the footballing structure behind the scenes in the meantime.

I'd say that was a fairly solid start personally? still super early days as well...

This is all getting a bit silly now, how has it been pathetic?

People seem to have forgotten the reckless spending and the points deductions over that epast few years.

What did you expect the new owners to do, open the chequebook and go crazy?

They are doing the right things, putting a structure in place and waiting for the new financial year. Judge them at the end of the window, not now and even then, bear in mind this is just the beginning not the finished article

You can't have everything straight away
The ONLY thing I kind of disagree with is the whole "judge them at the end of the window" part. I say this every year, points in August count just as much as points in April/May.

I get that and agree. My wider point is that it should be looked at as greater than just this window, as this should just be the start. We want to see window on window progress, that's where we judge

Nothing of note apart from:

Restructure the crippling debt that hamstrung us for years and saving us hundreds of millions over the next few years

Bring in one of the biggest stadium naming rights deals in world football.

Made a decisive decision to remove a hugely poor manager who had us at very real risk of relegation and bring in a huge improvement who immediately turned things round and ensured premier league survival was sorted with about 3 months to spare.

But yeah, maybe they shouldn’t have done any of that and just see where we ended up.

Yup, the professionalism on display so far has been a profound change from the clown show we've endured in the theatrical style over the last three decades.

That has certainly assuaged many of my worries. For now. And the new regime should most certainly stand to us in the near future and beyond.

However, July will tell a tell. There is no denying that. On the evidence of the steady hand that we have seen since January from these fellas, I'm quietly expectatant that the summer will go well and we can be safetly ensconced in mid-table without any worries next term as we position ourselves for an assault on the European places in 2026.

they probably count as more because they build momentum
At least we don't have Dyche and his woeful record in August because he 'didn't have time to do any tactical work(whatever that was to him)' what with all the laughing at players running up and down getting sick etc

Are you insane?
We were all 777 before TFG. We would have been relegated for bankruptcy. Wake up

Everyone was 777?

As if they stunk for the get go, rewriting history here

They did, everyone could see their footballing group was based on bollocks and was falling down around them.

Not sure this is accurate gents.

I recall taking a fair bit of stick on social media just for asking should we be concerned about 777.

Some of the big accounts as well were calling for them to be given a chance/spinning positives around them.

As I recall, the chief question was whether the fire or the frying pan was better - and if perhaps maybe there was an option out there somewhere that wasn't extremely terrible.
