Fulham clearly want the lad, we’d agreed terms with him Saturday. It’s up to him now where he wants to be for the next three years.

I’d still be confident this gets done, but we’ve been used to get players a better deal before.

I would be disappointed and angry if this deal were to collapse. Tete is a player who I would like for us to sign as I think he is an improvement on what we currently have. Yet, I would be angry if he didn't sign because it would look as though he used us to gain leverage in contract negotiations with Fulham.

Hopefully we come out on top in this, whatever happens.

He was interested enough to agree terms with us at the weekend. But you’re right, if he’s happy at Fulham but wanted what he felt he was worth then he’ll stay put.

My instincts on this say it probably does go our way but I wouldn’t be surprised seeing him stay. Radio silence since Saturday from the guy who first said anything.
