New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Hard to judge b

Hard to judge by the test events because most of the crowd that were there had already left before the end. We were practically the last to leave and had no problems.

I would say that the Pre match was a fairly decent test with many people going in different directions as they got around as much of the ground as they could, which always causes a bit of a nightmare, but it seemed to cope well at half size.

The exit point from the waterside stands look very dangerous to me. Also the issues with the bridge crossing at the last test event.

Hopefully I am worrying about nothing but I can’t help but feel concerned.
Why does it look dangerous? Don’t just say it, explain why, because myself and maybe others just don’t see it? I find it very difficult to believe that they would have built something dangerous.

I hope you’re right but we’ll see very soon if there are dispersal issues or not.
It’s something outside of your control. Why try not to worry about something that may never happen in 4 weeks time! Glass half empty mindset if ever there was one. You’ll make yourself ill if your that deeply concerned about ‘what may be’. Approach it with a mindset that everything’s gonna be just fine and if it’s not, you can worry about it if it doesn’t. 53k will not pour out the gates at once, there will be queues, the same way there are at every game. Bars are even open for an hour after every game too, so some may even decide to change tactics and stay behind and celebrate a last minute Jack Grealish winner for us 👀

I got on a shuttle bus from Liverpool One bus station about 1 hr before KO, but didn't make it to the ground till about 15 mins after KO, because we were stuck in the middle lane of the Strand.... ended up getting off by the Liver Building and walking, but there were still a lot of people milling around the stadium when we finally got there.

I believe that west stand fans can walk through the other stands to get to an exit rather than funnel through one or two riverside exit spots.

There's 5 exit points on the west stand; the 3 that exit from the tunnel to the west and are visible when you look at the steps, but there's also a north and south entry/exit point at each end of the tunnel under the steps ,and as you say there's an option to leave through other stands.

From the second test event I attended, I was in the south stand, I thought the exit doors from the stand were not enough, we were all funelled through 2 sets of doors and in an emergency not good enough.

Once outside the stand, there was a crowd, but this was squeezed because of the work on everton way, so will be better once it's finished.

We then had to queue to get out of the gates, this was due to the bridge only being able to hold a certain number of people due to weight and had this stupid stop start system in place.

In a real emergency I can see this causing massive issues, on a normal match day it isn't great either but tbh only held me up 15 minutes or so. Hopefully during the season this will ease but I remain to be convinced.
