I have been thinking about the crest which you posted as an option which the club could use in the future.

As indicated in a previous post, I love the 1920s crest (image attached). Whilst it may seem a stretch, I would like to see the EFC lettering from the 1920s crest included on the one which you have posted. It may look off, but it would combine different features of my favourite crests.

I like that, haven't given it a lot of attention in the past.

It would be nice to use that generally, perhaps with some enhancements.

There might well be something with TFG reverting to the 1984 crest, but not for this season.

That's not a break with the past.

How about leaving the tower stuff behind and having a ship on the new badge?

After all, we're on the river now and z-cars is the tune of the sea shanty the Johnny Todd.

The last time Everton played in Everton was...erm...never, so why have we git that beacon on the badge?
Minor correction.
‘Johnny Todd ‘ isn’t a sea shanty , it’s a folk song that was peculiar to Liverpool .
Sea Shanties are work songs that evolved from the call and reply songs sung by African sailors and dock workers in the colonies .
Carry on !😁

Thus etched into Liverpool folklore.

Read the lyrics from Bob Dylans track.

For the record it stays with the club for me wherever we go.

Actually the excerpt you posted above labels it as a ‘Sea Ballad ‘ which is quite different to a ‘Sea Shanty’.
Just to reiterate , a Shanty is a work song utilising the call and response structure from West Africa.
Sorry to be pedantic 😁

Cant believe a builder hasn't been allowed to set up a giant Colonel Gaddafi tent 25 yards from our new stadium to cream off some of the hospitality cash from Everton and fund a right wing group.

It's is an outrageous attack on free enterprise. Democracy's dead.
