Pre Season Matches.

I agree, the more away games you go to, you deserve 1st dibs. Sadly ticket hoarding has been a thing since Martinezs first season.

Footie has become more and more popular. But even then, I remember g
the club inviting 500 people with full credits for a season about 8 years ago. I remember Fully because the only game i missed was Bournemouth.

In what? 8 years the full credits has surpassed 1300 😂 the club need to do something, but its not punish those who visit the places like Bournemouth twice in a week in December.

Just my two pence.

What a week that was, in the minibus to Bournemouth twice in 4 days, over 1000 miles travelled and we were rewarded with 4-1 and 3-0 defeats.

Do you get access to Everton TV and the pre-season games with your season ticket? Not sure if you have to pay for a membership now on top of your Season Ticket with all these membership changes.

I assume that you would, it would be a disgrace if season ticket holders didn't get access to that.

I do too.

But there's a lot more who go everywhere, and they deserve first dibs.
Personally I don't really think they should get first dibs in pre-season. For competitive games yes, or for 'glamour' away friendlies, but I don't really agree with the idea that fans who can't get tickets for aways or who just can't afford/commit to going to many shouldn't have just as much as opportunity to get a ticket for an away pre-season game as the people who are able to go to them all. I'm not saying it's a disgrace or anything, but for me it's just not really necessary.

What club can do I don't know, but huge rise in those with those with ridiculous amount of stubs makes it impossible for fans to get on ladder.

At the end of the day 9 of us go to every away game, spending thousands and travelling hundreds of thousands of miles over the years, what your asking is for all that loyalty and expense to be written off and everyone start again, its just never going to happen. I agree that credit hoarders who sell them on should be looked at. I wouldn't be against a few hundred for each away being selected for collection at the stadium,I think the likes of United do that and it shouldn't be a problem for people if they are actually attending the match.

Its not true though, is it?

There's a chart knocking round of what the credits went to this season. Think 3 aways (Southamptonn, Leicester and one other) went down to whatever cup games we'd had at home.

It'll be harder next season, with losing them two, but its possible. There may be a cap, and you might not get Brentford, Bournemouth, but we'll probably get 3000 for Sunderland again, Chelsea normally goes quite low; there's opportunities to climb season-by-season, its just a slow process than it was 10 years ago (which I dont necessarily agree with if people are hoarding, but until the club operate checks, that wont stop).

My whole point was that anyone who wants a Pre-season game usually gets one.

Summer holidays, lack of credits, higher allocations, so ensuring those who do travel everywhere get a ticket is trivial, and the point that Accrington hasn't sold out on 0 credits illustrates that.

So I understand your point, but i do t see why those who've been the hard miles in recent seasons shouldn't just get a window to secure it.

Doesn’t that just strengthen my point further then? If people who go all the time will be able to get a ticket anyway then why give them a priority? Just to make them feel special? I’d argue it probably dissuades a lot of people who see the initial criteria and think they won’t get one so then when it turns out they actually could have gone it’s too late.

Like I said, it’s not a huge issue, I just don’t really think it’s necessary. As someone who’s been on both sides of this at different times I’d say it’s a bigger issue if people who want to go to aways but never get the chance miss out on pre season games than it is if people who go all the time do. There are certain rewards you should get for loyalty, I’m just not convinced this is one of them.

I wasn't suggesting they start over again, that would be completely unfair on fans like you. Fans having to bring ID for first let's say 8 away games and you have your name on ticket would get rid of hoarders. Your a genuine fan who goes away, I just don't think those who buy tickets with honest intentions, should miss out because someone buys tickets with every away game with no intention of going. I know 1 fella with full credits for last 4 seasons, yet only went to 2 away games last season. All I want is it to go back to what it was like in past, when people bought tickets with intention of going no selling tickets on.

I think that they should simply bring ID checks in for certain games to stop hoarders and then it will discourage touting and credits will go to those who deserve it.
