New script idea for a suspense film: Everton are about to sign Kenny Tete on a free but intrepid Everton Supporter Joey stumbles upon an unsettling truth, Tete has a history of extensive injuries, now Joey must race against time to get to Tete's physical to inform everyone there of the startling truth to avert the signing. Liam nieson I think would be perfect for the role.

The film actually starts with Joey outside BMD trying to get 5 mins with the groundsman to explain the best techniques for growing a footy pitch.

Not just about assists though. It's about ability to retain possession, progressiveness of passing, ability to run with the ball etc. Myko contributes 2 assists but the opposition basically let him have the ball and cross it if he wants which means they are doubling up elsewhere. A better player attracts more attention.
Last season, (because it’s hardly fair to go back further when Myko had to play under Dyche who wanted 11 men in our own area).

Myko made 3,22 progressive passes per 90 mins. Tete made 3.20. Myko made more crosses and more crosses into the penalty area per 90 than Tete. Myko received more progressive passes per 90 (meaning he is higher up the pitch).

Tete did make more progressive carries with the ball per 90. But was also disposed more than Myko.

There’s not much in it to be fair. and I do think he is a solid signing that improves us. Will just be interesting to see how he fares on here if his output ends up being similar as stats would suggest as Myko gets tonnes of grief for it.

Whatever Joey wants Joey gets cos he deserves it and Joey will get to the bottom of this.

That just proves stats are a waste of time because Myko is a black hole in possession.

Myko is overly criticised in my view. Might not be the best going forward , but is adequate , and I think improved under Moyes. Solid defensively too. Other areas are of far more pressing need than replacing him.

Got a feeling this might go straight to DVD.

We need a top RW (like Myko has with Ndiaye) and also a top CM who can be an option for a pass.

The more things change, the more things stay the same...need signings.

I think you underestimate how big a difference having fullbacks who are decent on the ball makes. A lot of our attacks break down when the ball goes to Miko because he is so limited in possession and has zero link up play with NDiaye which means he gets doubled up on. Having fullbacks who can attack is like having two extra players on the field in possession.
