New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I`ve only seen Spurs on the tv and it looks really like an NFL stadium with the corporate levels stacked up, and then one big end for the ordinary folks to go.
That's same as most new Stadia worldwide, in that respect. NFL stadia are normally slightly different in proporions, with many having only token end stands, and not dedicated Kops per se. They often have large lower tiers and are cranked or curved in plan view to allow good views along the full sidelines. Yes, the may stack several levels of corporate to increase their exclusivity and maximise their value. Spurs and Arsenal did that, and it largely self-paid for the bulk of the development. Spurs were able to learn from the Emirates and got better proportions and the now obligatory Kop. BMD is a far more basic format in comparison. Nothing wrong with that, just a more simplified approach. As they say, sometimes less is more.

Yes, they can get much worse..... Relegation or even multiple relegations and many years in the lower leagues, as experienced by all other clubs, would be far worse imo.
We are talking about results at home. Last season we got as many points away as at Goodison. I concede it is possible to get less points

Indeed, but i was in effect taking a larger sample size (all of GPs history), for greater accuracy.

If I had said that EFC were financially hamstrung by building a new stadium and nearly completely collapsed.... would that have been fair reflection of all things BMD/HD?

I'm sure over it's history Goodison has been great. That was not the point in question though.I agree over its history Goodison has been a great home for Everton. We should however not be fearing moving stadium as for the past few years it has not. With of course the caveat that it is possible we might get even less points and get relegated

There doesn’t look to be adequate space for tens of thousands to exit safely, in my opinion
Presumably if it gets certified as safe to evacuate 50k people urgently in the event of a fire etc, then it should be more than safe enough to handle the normal after match dispersion. With the hope that it may be more staggered than Goodison with the bars open (probably not if we lose as every will get straight off). It will be interesting to see though how they manage it. Could just be perfectly safe but slower than ideal.

There was no issue at all at either of the test events, and with the laying of Everton way it was less than 50% of its actual size.
Good point. Am looking forward to the Roma game to see how it copes, plus I am risking the Sandhills option back to Headbolt Lane - fingers crossed!

Hard to judge b

Hard to judge by the test events because most of the crowd that were there had already left before the end. We were practically the last to leave and had no problems.

There were other entrances and routes closed as well for the two events, without any problems as far as I am aware.

There will be no issues imo, I reckon you could even mill around the water side external areas waiting for the crowds to dissipate if you wanted, it’s a much larger area than it looks from the photos.

You’re not really elaborating, you said the waterside stand which I take it you mean the west stand. The exit points from there would be north stand side onto Regent Road and South Stand side onto Regent Road. The North Stand pedestrian route is wider than Goodison Road and the South Stand pedestrian route is wider still.
I wouldn’t class this as ‘dangerous’ but maybe you mean something different

I hope you’re right but we’ll see very soon if there are dispersal issues or not.
