Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

Röhl a bit infuriating here.

Also very impressed by Italy. Ot the most talented group of players but they put in a lot if effort and play smart

For those following the fortunes of Sampdoria, their Serie B relegation play off (the one they were only in because Brescia were mysteriously docked 4 points after the season ended, elevating Sampdoria from automatic relegation to a play off with Salernitana ) was completed this evening.
The first leg took place last Monday in Genoa which Sampdoria won 2-0. On the way home to Salerno more than 20 players and staff from Salernitana were taken ill, some hospitalised, with acute food poisoning. Salernitana managed to get a 48 hour delay to the second leg which was played this evening. A depleted Salernitana had a goal disallowed early on and the conceded twice before the game was finally abandoned on 65 minutes with the players being pelted with flares and fans of the home side trying to force the gates to the away supporters.
The Italian FA have acted quickly to award the tie 3-0 to Sampdoria and after an abysmal season, cling on in Serie B. Salernitana meanwhile will play in Serie C after suffering their second relegation in two seasons.
I suspect we may hear more of this in the weeks to come.

Cost me close to £200 that kin free-kick for Italy. Sickening.

All that dope at right-back had to do was keep the kin ball but passes straight to an Italian, ball goes up and foul. Knew my fate as soon as I saw the kip of the wall and goalie’s position for the free-kick. Koff.
I'll send you my bank details so next time you can just transfer the £200 to my account

Insane situation. I like the club but they should really have gone down this year
