Ballerina.

Much better than I expected.

First act plods a bit, as we’re introduced to her back story, but once it gets going, it’s pretty much full John Wick all the way.

Thought the thread of the sinister cult was really good, the battle scenes with the flame throwers were off the scale good, Ana De Armas was good as the John Wick replacement and the cameo with Keanu Reeves towards the end, really lifted the last act.

As always, an incredible body count and set up nicely for a reboot of the franchise.

"28 years later" , I would gladly not watch this again for 28 years, awful, awful film, the severed head in the bucket looked less realistic than the turnips we used to carve in infant school, the temu village of the damned addons had to be a joke, defo one of the worst movies this year

Warfare.

This was a film that I really wanted to see at the cinema, but missed due to it only getting a limited release.

The reviews had been pretty much overwhelmingly good, due to its realism, but I bit disappointed tbh.

Thought it started off really well, but then just became flat.

Maybe it was one you needed to see on the cinema to appreciate the battle scenes ?

I don't know what your home set up is but part of what made it for me was the immersion which is tough to get outside of the cinema. The sound in particular is incredibly impressive. I can definitely imagine it being nowhere near as impressive at home.

Sadly I watched it on a lap top and I think there lies the problem - it was impossible to appreciate the intensity and ferocity of their situation on a small screen.

Fun fact pop pickers, her out of Ferris Bueller's (Mia Sara) married Sean Connery's son Jason.
Read something online recently regarding Ferris Bueller’s day off. The theory was he was living each day in loop to create the perfect day, Groundhog Day fashion you might say.

Quite a fascinating read, given everything was orchestrated to perfection. A favourite of mine growing up! Is it nostalgia or don’t they make movies šŸŽ„ like this anymore?
