New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Because it is a shiny new stadium with no character? That’s surely not up for debate?

I know it wasn’t logistically possible to redevelop Goodison, but if it would have been that would have been my preferred choice without a choice.
You genuinely don’t think the new place doesn’t have its own character already? Have you been down there or inside the ground?

I know it’s different to Goodison, but outside and inside the ground feels anything but generic or characterless, to me.

In my opinion it has plenty of character, looks different to many of the new stadiums being built nowadays that’s for sure. Of course part of the character a stadium has comes from the fans but we’re not in there yet are we. Once we are I think it’s going to become a special place.

A bowl (that’s what our new owners refer to it as by the way) that hasn’t hosted anything of any significance absolutely has no character.

It’s odd to suggest it has. Clutching.

It’s referred to as a bowl because that is (as has been explained I don’t know how many times, by Meis among others) the proper term for the seating part of a contiguous stadium, irrespective of shape.

Yeah, as it stands its a bowl with zero character or charisma.

That might change once we see our favourite players scoring and winning games. Until then, it’s bricks and water.

Then (assuming youre being truthful) you’re the first person I’ve encountered who’s been there who hasn’t been bowled (see what I did there) over by what they experienced.

So ummm… well done for being unique, I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️
As I stand, my feelings might well change as time goes on but as it stands I can’t help but feel we’ve lost something

Of course I have.
