New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I am cautious, but I'd be a little less worried if they don't go crazy buying players like we did during Moshiri and it came back and bit our ass. like it or not football is now a business and needs to be run with that in mind.
It was down to Koeman what happened under Moshiri for the most part. His 'superstar' manager wrecked the organisation for a generation.

What would they have to do, for you to be happy with their first summer in charge?

What’s the bar in terms of minimum expectations to get the Davek seal of approval?
Minimum: sort out RB and CF with quality signings.

If we do that and retain Gueye and add a couple to replace the likes of Keane and Doucoure who can slot in off the bench then that's progress.

Not much to ask for.

I'm not sure that's an issue anymore anyway, is it?

On your first point: it's hard to conclude that they wont be using the clubs they have as nodes within a circuit in which they exchange players and shuffle about cash in.

They have a huge ready make excuse with Everton in terms of maintaining spending to the minimum by keeping the PSR excuse in play (with the help of onside journalists and fans on footy forums who desperately dont want more ownership churn). PSR re Everton was always more political: revolving around who owned Everton more than anything else. Yank owners takes care of that.

They have it all to do in my opinion. This summer will hand us the first signs of their intentions.
It is for Drogheda United, and when you have a sneaky owner like the bloke at Forest snitching on other clubs.

I suppose you`re right to be cautious of what way TFG will run the club in the near future. Plenty of clubs get new owners promising the sun , moon and stars to their supporters only to leave them with a shambles of a club fighting to stay afloat, us being one of them. I am hopeful with these guys coming in because there is no connection with TFG and the clown show that were behind running the club since the early 90`s. I`m not expecting things to change quickly, but I can see an opportunity to get back to a top half finish from next season. Trouble is that where we made progress under Moyes first spell to be best of the rest when it was a top 4, now its a big six with the likes of Newcastle and Villa up there looking to stamp their names on a CL slot.

Really strange reaction to my comments, almost as if some have taken it personally.

I understand Everton needed a new ground. Commercially, the long term benefits should be good. It’s a beautiful ground in a great “location” (picturesque, on the waterfront).

However I have concerns about how the side will adapt to a new ground without the safety blanket of GP. I think the match day experience won’t be the same either. Our entire lives we have been going to Goodison Park. There’s a familiarity that made Goodison so special.

Now - we will all find our own matchday routines. Our new chippies, pubs, routes etc.

The reality is:

: Transportation looks disasterous and off the back of the test events, dangerous. No parking and poor public transport routes.

: The gridlock to exit will be hugely problematic due to the lack of space by the waterfront

: It’s going to be more expensive for the match going fans.

: It will be especially unpleasant in the winter.

: Can we recreate the Goodison Park atmosphere? Remains to be seen.

Well, you progress with better players and they usually cost a few quid to bring in.

I dont think we need to do much more than buy a very good striker to become a top 8 club from next season onward and stay there.

This PL is a shambles. The Forest campaign last season underlines that. IMO they are just a load of journeymen plus Gibbs-White and I'd back Moyes' Everton team to beat them 6/7 times out of 10 as it stands right now.

This league table is there to be climbed rapidly and then consolidated upon. It's a rubbish league to be completely honest.

But Newcastle were awful before take over, villa were relegated 4-5 years ago. Throw Forest in the mix. If they can all improve then so can we

All reasonable concerns.

Goodison isn’t the fanbase. It’s four stands and a pitch.

You make reasonable points but I'm not concerned about how the move will affect us on the pitch. Our home record has been rubbish the last few seasons so if it is going to be as bad or worse then nothing would have changed and I'm not expecting that.

There may be a settling in period but it's not a given that we can't get results initially.

I think the atmosphere will be brilliant, and the team will continue to have the most amazing support.
