Nick Cox

I'm not sure. He's been at United for 10 years.....pretty much the exact amount of time they have been utter garbage. All these latest youth players coming through all dont seem to be good enough for them either....so i expect coup is more like another Man Utd reject coming out way.....TBH i don't know anything about him but we will see...
That's not accurate, as they have the second highest percentage of academy graduates in the first team, and have made massive revenue from sales of graduates. What's been awful about ManU hasn't been the academy, but the management of the senior team. They have arguably the top academy program, but are definitely in the top 3 in terms of producing players who either join the first team or can be sold for profit.

I think the most important part of the appointing new people to these roles is the ability to terminate them without detriment to the club. We have a history of being over generous in our contractual dealings in the past, part of the new Everton should be the tightening of our contractual obligations.

We should be pushing the boat out to bring contract Dave home.
A signing ain't a signing without Contract Dave's mush being all over the internet

These Yanks are as tight as a nun's nasties and wouldn't give ya the steam of their pash.

Yes indeed they have alot of academy players in the first team, are trying to flog them all, and they finished the season a few places above relegation. I'm not sure what that's supposed to tell me about this Nic fella.
But I understand he's highly regarded by the press, i dont normallly believe anything i read in the press but on this occasion I hope they are 100% correct!

Thats down to the manager though isnt it?

Last season they finished 8th and won the fa cup. Season before they finished 3rd and got to the fa cup final. Season before that they finished 6th and won the league cup.

To the avarage team what their doing is amazing just their the second biggest club in the world so the exspectation is ridiculously high.
If we'd of done what they did we'd be rubbing ourselves silly.

I don't believe anything is down to ONLY the manager. Manager needs the right structure and help to be able to perform. I think we as Evertonians have got into a rut believing its all the managers fault every season and chopped and changed. Finally we have cleared out the latest useless owner and got what seems like grown up business people in charge so we will see what they can do.
Also the clubs with all the money have a draw for the best young talent. Utd have that whether they have this guy or not. Everton at this moment don't have the same draw we have wom nothing for 35 years......In any case I will watch and wait its a patience game this type of thing so we will see what he can deliver and I wish him all the success!!

I suppose though maybe the skill in an academy is taking bang average players and turning them into some thing much better. I mean if you pick up a Rooney he's going to be world class whichever academy you pop him into.
Hopefully this guy has the magic fairy dust to either generate profit through academy sales or bring some top talent into the first team. It feels we have been lacking in that department for a long time.

Has anyone made a joke about his surname yet? If not, Ive heard that his wife was happy to take his surname, she said it rolls right off the tongue.

How do you like them apples?

Heard that the Friedkins are minges and they've gone down this route as he's a good fit hahaha

It's a cock fitting in a minge joke Mick hahaha Mick? Mick? You still there?

Sorry Mick.

Just listened to a bbc piece by Nathan salt from the daily mail 6 minutes long,he’s raving about how much of a good appointment this is,and he could of easily gone to any club he wanted to it seems a coup this one,we’ll have to wait and see

Certainly hope so, but I equally recall Steve Walsh and Brands both considered to be something of a coup.
I’ll judge him on what happens in the next 2 years rather than the last # at Utd.
