Holidays 2025

Just back from a week in Majorca, Sa Coma. Went with another family with similar aged kids. All inclusive resort, which wouldn't normally be my thing (prefer to go out for dinner to different places). Weather was fab (30-35°) and kids had a.blast. few days out on bikes to the beach and light activities. Beer and wine on tap was a bonus. The only time I'll allow chilled red wine...
I'm through the AI scene on holiday as the kids are 16 and 20 now. However we would feed the kids then take ourselves out for a meal from time to time when away on AI, just to break the monotony. Majorca is amazing! Glad you enjoyed yourselves.

In Bodrum just now, nice resort totally ruined by unbelievably annoying Turk bar and shop workers hassling you constantly, rip off bar and food prices, making it an expensive holiday even if you u are only a moderate drinker!!
Get the high rate of inflation here but they are totally killing the future of people returning here for holidays in the future with their desperation/determination to totally scam you!
AVOID!!

Oh, was about to book a family holiday to lara beach. AI so hopefully avoid the town bars and scams

Went over

Went over to Kos for the day(have been there before) and atmosphere and feeling is night and day compared to Turkey, would definitely be heading to Greece over Turkey in the future.
You've put me right off it now. Half the family want Turkey, the other Ibiza. I've been "Beefa" before, great beaches in Cala Bassa (see Gomez there one year), and Cala Comte.
But now you've put Kos in the mix :)

Can anyone recommend a decent AI hotel on the white isle please, ideally on the west side but not in San Antonio

Went to Kefalos last year. Peaceful, pleasant, chilled.

Turkey, never again.

Just my experience, others will surely differ.

So it hasn't changed a bit since I was there 25 years ago. I've never returned and never will.

Honestly, I'd give Turkey a miss at the moment,Kos is a great visit (perfect weather, lovely food and great people), always preferred Majorca to Ibiza tbh, Cala D'or is worth a visit.

Majorca for me. I go every year. Family own an apartment in Peguera there, so it's just a case of sorting a discounted flight off my employer.

My wife is a teacher so have to go away in school holidays and it would be way too expensive for a package somewhere else. I really don't think you can get anywhere nicer within 2.5hrs on an aluminium tube. The area is mostly German so far better behaved than Brits on tour in Maga/Palmanova/Santa Ponsa etc...Just porno tashes and Birkenstocks from every angle.
