Transfer Rumour Jack Grealish

I don't want him at all: Ndiaye is miles better playing off the left. Ndiaye is miles better playing through the middle. Alcaraz is young and promising and should be given a chance centrally if Ndiaye plays off the left, even if he's not proven yet.

Contributing about £150k a week on a soon-to-be 30-year-old player who used to be fantastic but has been poor for several seasons, has a questionable off-the-field lifestyle and would hardly be highly motivated to play for Everton doesn't seem like a good idea, and I am sure the club sees it that way too.

...and if either Ndiaye or Alcaraz are out of form, suspended or injured, then what?

How I see it, if Ndiaye is out then McNeil is a good backup to play left. If Alcaraz is out, Ndiaye can play central. We clearly need more players in those positions as it's definitely not enough to have Ndiaye, Alcaraz and McNeil as attacking midfielders!

I propose we firstly look to bring in as proven a right winger as possible, then a striker as first priorities. Following this, I want to see us bring in an attacking player - possibly a younger one similar to Alcaraz's age - who can play in a few positions behind the striker.

Certainly not a 5 million in wages a season gamble on a player on a downwards trajectory, though.

Maybe we can find an improved version of Harrison to bring in on loan, somebody happy to rotate into the team and not earning more than the rest of the squad that might upset the harmony within the ranks.

Agree 100%. Signing him would just stink of the whole regime and show everyone they've learned nothing

Most of us on GOT are likely an improved version of Harrison....

Would he make us stronger ?? Probably.
If its the right deal for the club and Moyes thinks he's worth a punt on a 12 month loan deal, I'm in. I believe bodies will only come in if they display a hard working attitude... Not at all like the Mosh years, we had Snides, Tosun, I'llhidemyfaceifweloose Williams, the Spanish myth Sandro.... My god we can go on and on here. This won't be a repeat of that incompetence... Guaranteed.

Ability wise then he would be our most talented player. Remember what he was like at Villa and then for a season or more at City.

However, at this point you would have to ask if he has the motivation to join a project like Everton, have the commitment to try to get back to being the best that he can be ..... and from an Everton perspective it would be a deal at the very highest that our finances could allow.

A very risky transfer but one that is highly unlikely to happen anyway imo.

Crazy how that’s something you have to take motivation into consideration with these footy players now days , I would never have believe that was even a factor until I saw Schneiderlin play

Interesting post from @AS Roma_fan yesterday in the transfer thread:
Ranieri said Dan Friedkin told him when they first met: "I've spent a lot of money, yet I didn't achieve much. What's the issue?"

And Ranieri has taught him something about football management.

...and if they've been taking note of how Ranieri won the league with Leicester, then perhaps the emphasis going forward is going to be more on finding the unheralded gems like Kante and Mahrez were, rather than the marquee mercenary signings like Lukaku that they made in their early days with Roma.

7 games (almost 20% of the PL season) is a lot to lose Ndiaye to AFCON. We need options other than McNeil. Grealish would fit the bill.

Charlie Adam would also have to work overtime working out what to do with the number of free kicks he would give us.
