New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I thought this quote from the BBC article was particularly laughable.

So his solution to the problem is that he hopes fans will stay away from the near £1bn stadium we've built, spend their money elsewhere and simply walk from town. That's the spirit; ignore the problem and hope it resolves itself.

How about try doing your job properly and find some money to fund infrastructure improvements that in turn will encourage more investment in the area?

If it was our red cousins he'd be moving mountains to make sure they were fully supported.
I think there will be a shift in behaviour and as often these things are never as bad as people worry about and can change over time

Plus there is money to be made in the private sector, you can easily imagine a shuttle bus service running from the strand to BMD and back, use all those buses that are no doubt used for school bus services

I’m not sure that is strictly true .
However it is worth remembering that our lovable neighbours are worth a significant amount more to our City than ourselves.
Both in terms of bringing money into the city on matchdays and in terms of advertising the City worldwide and acting as a significant draw for investment.
If they sometimes seem to be given more consideration there is a solid and logical reason for this.
Maybe so, but we've just invested close to £1bn in a derelict part of the city with further significant investment potentially on the horizon. We have retained Goodison for the Womens team and will also look to invest in them and the local area. Not to mention all the work that EITC do.

Ultimately, everything that LFC do is for them and them alone.

Absolutely agree with everything you say here.
However the slightly unpalatable fact remains that the RS are far more valuable to our city.
It should also be remembered that our council , like all Northern cities, has been largely starved of money and investment. The disparity between what has been spent per head on the South Eastern portion of the country and the North was appalling ( roughly about £500 per head in the North compared to roughly £1500 per head in the S.east .
The council has limited funds to improve the lot of everyone in the city ( and the region) .
The fans of billionaire owned football clubs may not always be the most deserving of limited funding.

I raised the disparity in public transport infrastructure spend not too long ago in here, the North-South divide is stark to say the least.

I agree that funds are limited however, i don't feel enough is being done by the Council to support the stadium and surrounding development in terms of infrastructure. The stadium should act as a catalyst for regeneration of the northern docks but only if it is adequately supported by the local authority. Even putting the stadium (and my obvious bias) to one side, the Central Docks development alone will deliver 2,350 new homes and will attract over £500m in private investment. If the Council want the private sector to invest in Liverpool Waters, Ten Streets etc then they need to be seen to support this in any way they can.

Perhaps they are behind the scenes, who knows.

The hospitality seasonal packages sold to supporters come with a 3 year commitment so any match day one-offs will need to reflect the pricing floor now established otherwise there is going to be some unhappy people…even more so than usual!
So you can buy one off hospitality packages on a match by match basis via seat unique and you don’t have to be an official member/forever blue or whatever it’s called now?

I don’t know so you will have to check the tickets being offered and whether they stipulate membership(of any level).

If they don’t then I hope the club has a plan to deal with the away fans and half&half tourists who may buy the tickets.

If you go on the seat unique site they are available for Brighton...over 600 quid like so not for the ordinary fan..doesn't mention membership.

Maybe when we announce the Nelson Dock and whatever other land the club’s in negotiations for, we’ll make a comment about transport or like another commenter suggested, maybe even put some money forward to get the ball rolling.

His pay masters in Castle Gray skull will be very happy with their minion.

Am sure he's due a trip over to Boston soon to keep them abreast of the situation.

The bad guys lived at Snake Mountain buddy.
