ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I see Tsimikas is defending their recent title win against accusations it was too easy this year.

They know nobody's bothered they won and it eats at them.
At one time having 'them' win the title would have crucified me but nobody gives a toss about this 'no one else bothered to turn up' title. And, yes, it really is hurting them that other than the RS media most people refuse to prostrate before them.

It was the biggest non-event since the covid season.

They know the only reason people will remember last season for Liverpool is for that Water St incident.

The PL is knackered. It's done for.

They've won the PL title when it's almost worthless prestige-wise. They know it too.

Even this World Club Championship will overshadow it, and that's as fake as...
Couldn't agree more. But I'd still love us to win it and, hopefully, not in the too distant future. I don't know how long left I can hang on.

Of course.

But its status is undeniably tarnished beyond repair.

The fact that Spurs and United were relaxed about being near the foot of the table is probably more telling than a bang average Liverpool topping it.

Decent size club's have figured out that prioritising winning any Euro trophy is more important than being in a title race that you've dropped off the pace of. You can win one of those - which English clubs do often enough - and still get back into Europe.

The PL is circling the plug hole. That's not to say the top flight here is done for, but this iteration of it IS.

Had they won league in 2009, 2014, 2019 or 2022, I'd of been gutted. However when Arsenal drop points countless times at home to us, Palace, West Ham, Brentford, Bournemouth at home it doesn't mean much. Hate to say it but Klopps Liverpool in 2022, who could on win quadruple were miles better than Snots RS last season. They'd won it by October. Take away Salah they would of finished 6th.
