'Install App' Button

When I'm browsing GOT on my Desktop computer I keep getting this little pop-up button in the bottom left hand corner of the screen:

I can click 'Dismiss' to get rid of it, but when I move into a different forum or thread it re-appears again.
It's only started happening recently and only when browsing on desktop (Google Chrome) but not when accessing the site on mobile.

Any ideas on how to get rid?

Thanks for trying to disable, though I think something on your PC is interfering/blocking our scripts mate. It's why you're also in the adblock usergroup on PC but not mobile.

I suspect Ghostery or something similar on the PC, which focus on blocking trackers, ads, and scripts, will be interfering with user selection being saved by affecting the functionality of localStorage or the execution of the JavaScript.

Could also be if you're in private/incognity mode, or a browser setting that limit/clears localStorage deemed to use for tracking - even with extensions disabled. It prevents dismissal state being saved. Same is true with any browser do not track settings/interfering with localStorage.

Only other things I have running are Malwarebytes extension and windows defender. Will check the settings in there to see if I've got something checked that shouldn't be.

If you're using Chrome on Android and want to add Grand Old Team to your home screen like an app:
  1. Open Grand Old Team in Chrome.
  2. Tap the three dots in the top-right corner (⋮).
  3. Select "Add to Home screen".
  4. Confirm by tapping Add.
That’s it — Grand Old Team will now appear on your home screen like an app!

Note: We're not on the Play Store — it's a progressive web app (PWA), so you install it directly through your browser.
