New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

but if you’ve purchased it mate
it’s your preference

I don’t know the exact rules, Matty, but having a season ticket is a privilege and not a God given right. Loads of fans struggle to get tickets for games, so if a season ticket holder can’t make a game for whatever reason, it’s only fair someone else gets the opportunity (so long as the season ticket holder gets refunded for the missed game).

who said it’s god given right?

people have therye own personal/problems
reasons why

doesn’t mean they can’t have one

Surely the club need to put pressure on the council and government regarding the transport? Investing millions and giving them all years to plan for no real transport improvements is baaad.

'Some' would say they owe Everton nothing and they've been rational actors in doing precisely f.a. by way of transport solutions for this stadium as they're taking proper care of taxpayers' money in that respect. 'Some' of them post on here in fact...

It's a shame there isn't a pub type area, that will have been popular. Not sure how many will stand about on an unheated concourse drinking from plastic but each to their own.

There is The Bramley Moore across the street, The Holy Trinity next door, a bit further along there is Murphy’s Gin and Ten streets social. there was planning permission submitted for the building on the corner of Boundary Street and Regent Road to be changed into a pub, there is also going to be The Kendall Suite at Nelson Dock, The Blue house beer hall is at 68 Regent Road.

I think there will be plenty of options for people and more will spring up.

Nah, it’s fair. Lots of people are desperate to get to games. If a season ticket holder can’t make a game, then it should be available for another fan to purchase, and if they regularly can’t attend games, then they don’t really need a season ticket.

My wife and I were on the waiting list for years. Unfortunately she now has acute Alzheimer’s so I didn’t take up the offer of a ST for her and just got one for myself. I know that because of her condition I will miss certain games, nighttime and early starts, but I will ensure that either relatives will use it or I’ll pass the opportunity onto others. I’m not interested in receiving money for its usage and will do everything I can to ensure the seat gets used in my enforced absences. However, we’d been on the waiting list for years with two memberships and I’ll be damned to give it up because of my wife’s frightful predicament….

If memory serves, there was a situation a few years ago where someone bought an ST (Park End I think) and then listed every match on Stubhub for the season, all above face value - and some games (RS, Man U) at a significant uplift. The club eventually got onto it and dealt with the individual, but apparently he'd done it for 2 seasons at least. Some were praising his entrepreneurial spirit!

I did get an invite to a lounge in the Park End, can't remember from who or how as it was years ago. The seat was obviously just a regular seat - feller next to me told me it's a different person every game.

I also remember a long time ago, a few of the old town house hotel establishments (Mount Pleasant area) used to have STs at both Goodison and Mordor, and sell packages to overseas fans.

Also remember most of the houses in Goodison Road were unofficial lounges - some of them catered for RS season ticket holders for their games. I guess the club eventually realised it was leaving a lot of money on the table.

But the season ticket holder has made the inital outlay to purchase a ticket for all 19 home games without 1) not knowing when the games are 2) not knowing how ‘good’ we are gonna be (i know it doesnt make a difference) but still.

Imagine we are crap and dont win a game, would the club want to buy my ticket for a game i cant attend then and maybe be stuck with it? Imo i’ve bought the season ticket and it should be mine to do whatever i want with (exept make profit) . We all have things that come up in life (kids, work, illness etc) when i cant attend i get great pressure into giving my ticket to my young nephew. Juat my opinion like. I do get the other side of the argument but think my season ticket should be mine to do whatever i want with

Careful, we’ll have none of that logic and sense around here.
