A monument to nearly 60k Commonwealth soldiers who have no known grave and lie in the Flanders soil undiscovered…it only records up to 1917 as no more space for names to be inscribed in the stone. The other 35,000 soldiers who are missing are remembered at Tyne Cot cemetery which is also worth visiting.
nicio șansă, pervers rău ce ești!Any chance of a close up of the gran please?
I did that a few years ago. If you are in the area it is worth visiting La Cambe which is the German cemetery in Normandy. Not far from the US cemetery at Omaha beach. Found it interestingOff to Normandy early Sept (during international break). Staying in Bayeux, and aiming to do a lot of the D-day stuff. One of those places always wanted to visit.
Looking at Naples early next year, but nothing booked yet.

"Nu vorbesc limba Romana. Vorbesc ingleza?" is the single most important phrase. Unless you're proper out in the sticks there's a good chance the person speaks English. That's one more phrase to add to my limited list of Romanian phrases, the one other being "ce mai faci?"![]()
