….Turkey last month, in Cyprus at the moment, it’s really hot and we’re just heading to the bar. We’ve got a fortnight booked in Kos in September.

Just to let you know, not everything is sunshine and light, to balance out the good stuff we’re off for a weekend in South Shields end of August still I have to take the rough with the smooth.

Off to Normandy early Sept (during international break). Staying in Bayeux, and aiming to do a lot of the D-day stuff. One of those places always wanted to visit.

Looking at Naples early next year, but nothing booked yet.

Im going on a road trip with my son from uk down to Austria, innsbruk then drive through the alps and all the passes up there incl the stelvio before dipping into italy then monaco, before driving back through the nicer parts of france this october!!

That’s a very poignant ceremony at the Menin gate.
A monument to nearly 60k Commonwealth soldiers who have no known grave and lie in the Flanders soil undiscovered…it only records up to 1917 as no more space for names to be inscribed in the stone. The other 35,000 soldiers who are missing are remembered at Tyne Cot cemetery which is also worth visiting.

We are doing the (now) seemingly annual beach trip to North Carolina with our kiddo and friends. He loves it, and I enjoy seeing how much he does. I don't mind it, but sitting on a beach for 6 days gets a little old to me, to be honest. I'm more of a travel to big cities for museums/food type of holliday person.

Got married in Vegas in April, honeymoon in Sorrento and Positano in September and a birthday trip for my missus' 40th in Budapest in December.

It will probably be a weekend in Leitrim for us next year
