Fixtures

Start away finish away would of been nice to been home last day of the season but with right signings could finish top 10
Hopefully have a target between 8-12 th for me great to finish in the top 10 but if dont and we have seen improvements with the squad. And we finish out of it will still see it as a positive

Everyone always wants the so called rubbish club 1st, or the newly promotd team. then moan when the other lot get them. We finally get them and we are acting like they are the new Barcelona, surprised if they have not already, that some are not saying Gnonto will score the winner v us
Incredible, isn't it? We set our standards so low as a fanbase and wonder why our custodians simply do the bare minimum as a result...

There are 19 possible opponents for us on the first day, and we get, probably, the 3rd weakest. And we think it's "tough." It's nothing of the sort. It's a winnable game against an opponent who we should respect - nothing more. Yes, Leeds will be "up" for it at home in their first match, but they can be just as easily stage-struck or overawed or out of their depth. And why wouldn't we be up for it too? A new era, a new manager (relatively speaking), a new beginning. And we should have reinforced our squad significantly by then, anyway.

If we haven't, then we will have bigger problems than "Leeds away".

Its pretty fair to say that our game against Brighton is nailed on for tv. Does anyone have an idea when we're likely to find out about the tv scedule for that week?

That's a fairly decent distribution on first look. The October trio seems tricky on paper but otherwise I wouldn't particularly say that there are any 'month of death' shouts in there like there was last season..

Will be at home so Liverpool can be at home last game of the season. PL don’t want us getting a good start though so won’t be a newly promoted team or a weak bottom half side. Also won’t want to put us on tv in case we scalp a big boy. So I will say someone like Bournemouth, Brighton, Villa or Newcastle at home. I’ll go Villa at home.
Great shouts. RS at home first and last games. We are playing a promoted team and we are, I assume, on live.

Did you go to the same 'Prediction School' as @davek ?

I think you're overthinking it just a little bit (OK massively) to be honest. A couple of people have mentioned that it's not the easiest start, there's not some sort of mass breakdown about it being an unwinnable game. I think it's quite a tough start, it could be tougher, it could be easier. There's no doubt in my mind that playing Leeds away in January would be easier than playing them away first up which is mildly irritating, but really i'm just passing comment on our opening day fixture in the absence of anything more substantial to talk about.
