Sandhills station

I wasn't aware that a station previously existed, but it makes sense. That boudoir also mean that the standing ground would be suitable to house a platform. Much of it coudl probably be done of site, modular, then simply craned into place. If the land parallel is owned by Network Rail already, then even better

The biggest issue with Sandhills is capacity on an island platform. This resolves that without Sandhills being out of action at any point.

Im not really alright Jack am I mate?

Cos every week im gonna be part of 52k trying to get out of a poorly designed stadium.

I took my Father in Law to Goodison a few months ago, he cant walk very well, so im vastly aware of problems that others face.

At no point did I dissmiss concerns, im just saying they arent REALLY as bad as Dave is claiming.

Also, I have spent a lot of time down that area and I said from day 1 it was a terrible place for a Stadium, 1 road in, 1 road out.

So to answer your question, no, im not alright, nobody is.
It needed saying, and you have said it. One road in, one road out. Looking at the longer term, which probably excludes me cos of advanced age, maybe the two disused adjacent docks might become large car parks?

That's the connundrum, they really don't want cars on the river side of the Northern line (except for the disabled and some corporate), because they need Grt Howard Street to be free for the Shuttle buses to work. For the 2nd test event, none of the last few buses from Liverpool One got to the ground till after KO because it was completely gridlocked at the junction with Leeds St. Its stated clearly in the transport plan that they need at least 60% to use public transport at BMD. They've obviously modelled dispersal on these limited routes and know it cannot work if those lanes are full of cars.

Blimey! Not looking hopeful for the car users then.

Another success for Commander Steve. Opening the offices of Kyndryl in Liverpool.

A scab IBM off-shoot that's been causing mayhem for Irish IT workers and is now getting ready to stick its snout into the NHS trough.

If there's land you don't even need much infrastructure, just a crowd barrier system that releases onto the platform. If you look at the tram stops in Manchester both for Etihad (and the new arena) and Old Trafford (Cricket and football) they don't have big stations, just a barrier system that enables several hundred people in the system, and then they can be released 1 trainload at a time.
I assume this is what they are building on the spare land

Just been past and they have started to dig up the other end of the platform, or at least that’s what it looks like

"Those liver birds looking outwards"?

There are only 2 (genuine ones) and one, quite evidently, looks the other way ...
