Looks slow and lightweight. Not sure he’s what we need tbhMcAtee has looked gash in the 6 minutes of this u21 match I've watched.
Good close control at times, but way behind the French forwards yesterday. Could be a team issue mind, but on this showing i'd do something else with thirty million quid. That wasn't bad like...McAtee has looked gash in the 6 minutes of this u21 match I've watched.
People just have in their heads that he’s defo gonna be the next Foden/Palmer.Looks slow and lightweight. Not sure he’s what we need tbh
They have so many similar types of players just in this team. McAtee, Elliot, Nwaneri - all just want the ball to feet and no movement behind.People just have in their heads that he’s defo gonna be the next Foden/Palmer.
He could well be, but he could also be another in a long line of young English talent who struggle to make the step up.
Same if he plays off the right - we are desperate for pace there more than anything.Trying to play deeper, we've got options there, Alcaraz, N'Diaye and McNeil. We require a bruiser up front that'll win headers and provide a lot of physicality. We've lost this aspect with Doucoure leaving. The battering ram role is now even more difficult because of the smaller lighter midfield behind.
TBF he does run to draw defenders and create space for others, but yeah, good point. They have so many similar types of players just in this team. McAtee, Elliot, Nwaneri - all just want the ball to feet and no movement behind.
Nothing about him made me think we should spend anything near the amount quoted on him.Good close control at times, but way behind the French forwards yesterday. Could be a team issue mind, but on this showing i'd do something else with thirty million quid. That wasn't bad like...
Not for me on today's showing mate.Nothing about him made me think we should spend anything near the amount quoted on him.
