The Club World Club

Absolute joke of a tournament this. Until the other continents catch up it's just the champions league version 2. The only ones with half a chance of giving them a game are saudi teams. The Brazilian teams do well to get players who have got too old to play for the likes of Fulham or Leeds.

And what on earth are Chelsea doing in it. It's no wonder they sign 10 players a season on 8 year contracts when they are gifted money like this.

It all needs a revamp, far too much football and far too much favouritism for certain clubs making them unreachable.

This is my take on it. Genuinely, what's wrong with football ending in May (after the FA Cup, CL etc.) and not really starting again properly until mid-August?

This goes on until mid-July, and in reality it's a glorified pre-season cup produced to allow FIFA, its cronies and club owners to make even more money.

Some of these players had the Euros last year, a full season, this, another full season and then the World Cup, with only a bit of a break in-between.

At some point, the number of games will have an impact on the players. And what the fluff' is with this walk out routine?

It’s just a cash cow for FIFA - they and a lot of the other leagues/clubs around the world want the same level of cash UEFA generate from the Champions League.
It’ll end up rattling back and forth between the US, Saudi and Asia just to drag the big European sides for exhibition games under the pretense of being a competitive tournament.

It’s just a matter of time before we end up with a European Cup final being played outside of Europe.

In a way that's the only benefit of this. That teams like Man City and Chelsea are getting burned out from their greed of these kind of tournaments and pre season tournaments and all the rest

Deserves a knighthood that lad.

Look out for more seeding in cups, entries in later rounds and the possibility of ever more substitutes. We can't have these clubs at a disadvantage.
