Ralph McTell, 80 now. Streets of London here with the legend John Williams. When I used to live in Widnes for a while (holy cow) I'd sing this to myself and change it to the Streets of Widnes.
I've heard that said a few times , about Homeward Bound. Apparently a plaque at the station,? But if you look online there's a few places accredited with being the place where Homeward Bound was written.
Both great songs. Streets of London more relevant than ever because of the poverty right before our eyes (in every city) and Homeward Bound because we all feel the pull of being home. And let's celebrate that those song writers / singers are still alive.
Same Time, Next Year - great movie. Only seen it once though.
