I see Irish side Drogheda have been expelled from the Conference League due to sharing the same ownership group as the Danish club Silkeborg, who are in the same competition. They have lodged an appeal.

It does appear though that they may not have taken steps to separate through a blind trust.

Am I correct in assuming here that it would not apply to us as the holding companies behind Everton and Roma are different?

If there was a conflict does the club with the higher coefficient prevail? That wouldn't be us obviously.

If things are clear cut then fine but I can forsee more pressure from clubs on this in years to come. As we've seen with Forest and Palace.

Football just seems to be entering a more confrontational/litigious phase.

I guess we first have to create the problem so it would be nice if we're in such a position.

Need to get into Europe first mate. We're a while off. They'll have time to sort it out by the time we get there

The change continues

Drogheda qualified for Europe in November.
Silkeborg bought in December.
Ownership group despite warnings took non of the measures necessary to have both teams in the competition. UEFA have created loopholes.
League of Ireland now lose a European spot apparently as the ruling comes too late for registration.
For an investment group it's a very daft situation to be in losing money, support and credibility.

Also Drogheda is full of rats so 😂😂😂😂😂

It's got to be good news, this.

Worked for Moyes before, works for Manchester City now...

I think it is good news yes. Has worked with Moyes before and will bring high standards from City you would think.

Be interesting how long his gardening leave is, it's a sensitive role regarding access to information, especially with the window soon to open.
