Membership 2025/25

So let me get this right. I need to buy membership if I want to purchase a match ticket?

If I'm lucky I can travel over for one maybe two games a season.
And you'll need membership, should some kind soul have a ticket available in the spares thread, so they can transfer it to you (unless of course its an away ticket and is of paper format, in which case you don't necessarily need a membership)

There seems to be some belief that future ticket price rises and rising membership fees will be used to invest in the squad and make us more competitive. I think it's more likely that cash - along with other revenue brought in - will be going toward paying down the debt on the stadium.

We face years of make do and amend on the pitch in terms of players; which is one reason why Moyes has been chosen to carry this on.

This is nothing to do with this, however I have always found it peculiar that my son got x, y and z when he had a membership, and when he got a ST he got...

... nothing (apart from his seat). For young fans, a birthday card and some club-branded tat goes a long way.
For young and old it goes down well 😎

Apologies if this has been answered already, but if I as a season ticket holder cannot make a game and want to give the ticket to a friend / family member do they need to be a member for this to be possible?

I am the only one who thinks the tier 2 membership will be ok for getting tickets? The demand was inflated the second half of last year due to us leaving Goodison. Don't know how many more tickets are available for general sale, but I imagine the demand wont be as high. After the first few games and fixtures like the derby I thought tickets will have a good chance of reaching second priority. But I guess if loads get the tier 1 membership it will make the tier 2 essentially useless.
Not sure. Reckon there will be about 8k tickets on general sale with a full away allocation, it’s less of an uptick than people think.

I can’t see it ever getting past Tier 1 for league games. Not sure what Tier 2 is really for, feels like it might catch those out who don’t know the real general sale situation; the club should be transparent about how many seats they expect to go on sale.

This is exactly how I feel. I understood it at the end of last season with the Goodison farewell but to now expand that with the new stadium which has more capacity feels like a kick in the teeth. There should not be two levels of priority, end of. It's nonsense and anti-fan

I guess the definitive will be if tickets are going to be absolutely digital and only accessible from your online digital account.
Previously, I believe tickets can be "acquired" (spares thread) over other channels...pdf, email.
Just don't know if that'll be possible now

There's really only one tier.

No one is going to be buying the second tier.

It's a cynical way to raise prices in a way that the club can plead innocence because the lower tier is there at the previous price.

This was inevitable, unfortunately. I expect my season ticket will cost close to a K in a few years. It's just the way the game has gone. We're coustmers to be exploited. So be it, but if I'm a coustmer, then I will demand value for my money and I will be far less forgiving to consistently bad form, incompetence, and general mismanagement from the club. The clubs hierarchy don't get to be utterly ruthless in their exploitation of us but then ask for patience and understanding when things are rough.

I mean once the initial buzz has died down and unless where challenging for top 4/5 i would imagine alot of tickets will go on general sale, maybe not the games you hope but some/many surely will

TBF, you had a right to demand all that when we were at Goodison too. You weren't paying any less than a Kopite did for their season ticket for Anfield.
