We wouldn’t be spending any money on him apart from the loan fee.

It’s a risk worth taking IMO.

We’ll only end up filling a loan spot with some jobber to make the numbers up anyway.

Jokes aside he is one of my favourite non Everton players. Obviously not in the last few seasons for city but during his peak at Villa and early time with city and especially England. Think everyone liked his lad personality and joy for the game.

All that to say I don’t think he actually ends up here for both football and financial purposes. Could we sustain a fraction of his salary for a year? Only marginally removed from a points deduction it seems reckless…but only very short term

McAtee is the city lad to be after, though if by some miracle we get both him and Grealish, it’s some upgrade. I worry what would happen to Ndiaye though. He flourished on the left.

I really, really can’t see him choosing to sign for Everton.

It's a terrible source, but if he actually wants to join us over someone like the horse punchers, lets not twist it into a negative and question his 'desire'. We wanna be where villa, Newcastle are now, signing a player who instantly improves us is a good start, if of course the finances of the deal are also beneficial.
