Him and Keane need to go just to remove the ridiculous polarisation of the fan base around these players. Of course fans have different opinions on players but I’ve never known an occasion before where saying you think a player is poor is met with so much vitriol. By any metric, these are not good players, it’s the end of their contracts, we gave them a brilliant opportunity to play first team PL football over the best part of 8 years, they gave us a handful of decent moments amongst mostly abject rubbish, yet for some reason these two have got some of the most entrenched backers around. Far better players have left Everton with more criticism from the fan base than these two. They’re two very average players, Everton isn’t going to fall apart without them, time for everyone to move on.
Completely agree, for me he's just a run of the mill bang average player with a mediocre scoring and appearance record, if he was at another club and we were interested in signing him I'd be very underwhelmed, I'll be gutted if he is still here next season

Still baffles me why people on here seem to hate him so much..
Let's see
1. He's a striker who's only scored 57 goals in 239 games.
2. He's had 457 shots of which 192 are on target.
3. He's missed 88 big chances
4 He's been offside 157 times.
5 He's got 15 assists
6 He's getting 100K a week.
I expect a lot more out of a striker earning the money he's on. I dislike him because he's not any good, any striker who gets the amount of game time he gets and isn't your top scorer needs punting, he's playing a lot up front but constantly gets outscored by midfielders.

Who was your favourite striker of recent times (say the last 20 years)

I remember the season before last, v Villa. Dom was played clean through down the middle. I knew he would hit it weakly straight at Emi Martinez. Martinez knew it, everyone in the stadium knew it, probably Dom himself knew it.

And ultimately, you just can’t have that feeling from your number 9.

….an old manager of mine used to say, ‘some players you hope they score but others you expect they’ll score’.
