Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season



Coaches never really do well at International level, where it's much more about man-management. There really isn't the time to intensely coach International players, as there is at club level. International players also shouldn't need a lot of coaching either.

Tuchel strikes me as more of a coach than a manager in that respect. England needed a manager who can inspire something in the players, rally them to a cause and so on.
I’ve always found it interesting when club managers who have been with rich clubs go into international management. At the club level you can buy your way out of problems. Totally different with national teams where your pool is your pool. Personally think someone like Carlo will do great because he has a simpler management approach which is player friendly. Others like Tuchel and Poch seemingly not so much…
