Same here. Would like to think he will, but if he doesn't then it would be a huge blow and undo a lot of the goodwill the owners have thus far.

For me, it'd be more just based on the situation we're in. Having to bring in so many players in one window is a daunting task for any club. I'm not one to pretend to know what goes on during contract negotiations, because there could be an infinite number of reasons a player does or does not sign for us, and it's not necessarily due to incompetence from the front office.

Right now, I have faith the owners are doing the best they can with what they have. I just hope that both parties come together in this case.

If this is the case its a bit mad.

Offer him the 2, or even 1 + 1 and he has the option.

I thought for himself, he doesn't look like slowing up anytime soon, but if he is after a year, you would think he might favor a Saudi move, being out of contract in 12 months would help that.

Anyway, i think he is ace, will be impossible to replace
