DCL is a decent targetman, he can hold the ball up and bring others into play.
However, Beto for all his limitations is a far better goalscorer. Especially, on 1 v 1 and I think he suits the Moyes style better.
The main problem for me , with DCL is his wages and his fitness.

Best for both parties that he leaves. We need a new first choice striker; the pursuit of Delap at £30 million and failing to agree terms with Dom suggests the club know this.
He’s been a good player for us considering what we paid, and can leave with his head held high. Wish him all the best in reigniting his career elsewhere.

Best move for all parties him leaving, we get his wage off the books and he gets the chance to start afresh. I don’t think he’ll stay in the PL, or the UK nor Europe, I think he’ll end up at an MLS club or some Saudi mugs will take a chance

Has great attributes as a forward except the one that matters most. I am not sure if he remained fit we would have moved away from the relegation zone so fast.

Problem is we can't spend big and there's very little available. I like Dom but he's so rarely available and if he is it takes a few games for him to get up to speed. Probably best he leaves but then how do you replace him! If we give him a new contract there's no fee. But also how many games will he play,?
Money will be tight with so many players needed, but if we were willing to spend £30 million on Delap then they must be willing to drop a chunk for the right player.
We’ve tried negotiating with Dom but he clearly doesn’t like the terms. The injuries he’s had are ones that will probably be recurring from here on in, and we need someone reliable to lead the line. I trust the club will have options lined up for a replacement.
Terms agreed with Love Island.
